Our first encounter with Earda and Kevin was at the wedding of Kevin’s sister Meagan in 2021, at the enchanting Abbey Inn in Peekskill, NY. Little did we know that this initial meeting would lead to a beautiful journey culminating in their own wedding a year later.
The day of their wedding filled us with excitement. For months, we had eagerly anticipated capturing the magic of a wedding at a breathtaking venue on the serene Lake George in the Adirondack area of New York. As we made our way to the venue with our car laden with equipment, extra cameras, additional lighting, and a drone for capturing aerial views, we noticed a hint of fog along the way. However, luck seemed to be on our side as the rain forecasted earlier did not materialize. Our hearts were set on this picturesque castle for months, and not even Mother Nature could deter us. Upon our early arrival at the Inn at Erlowest, we explored the grounds, meticulously planning our photography for the day. We reveled in the beauty of the fall landscape, capturing stunning aerial views of the lake with our drone, before making our way to the cabins to meet the bride and groom.
Earda’s excitement was palpable as we entered the bridal suite in the castle. Her infectious enthusiasm set the tone for the day, surrounded by her closest family and friends, awaiting the most memorable day of her life. The sight of her gown, the resplendent glow of her makeup, and the way she gazed at her dress left us in awe, knowing she would be the most breathtaking bride in one of the most picturesque locations in all of New York. Her radiance outshone everything around her, and the sky cleared just in time for the forthcoming lakeside ceremony. When Earda slipped into her dress, it was a moment of sheer enchantment. The first look with her bridesmaids left us spellbound; she truly embodied a bride of ethereal beauty, exuding grace and warmth.
Meanwhile, Kevin was in the expansive cabin with his best friends, exuberance and joy lighting up the room. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as they raised toasts and savored their front-row view of the lake. As Kevin prepared for the first look, I captured a few moments of him on the deck before leaving the group to await the special moment.
Before the much-anticipated first look, we arranged a tender first glance between Earda’s father and herself in front of the castle. The emotion in that moment was overwhelming, as her father’s eyes brimmed with tears, embracing his beloved daughter with pride and love, unwilling to let go of the precious moment, knowing it was time to unite with the groom on the terrace.
Kevin awaited eagerly on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking views through the mist. As Earda approached and tapped him on the shoulder, their world narrowed to just the two of them. Laughter, tender kisses, and a dance ensued, their love radiating through every glance and gesture during the first look as we captured their portraits from every angle, encapsulating the splendor of the lake, the mountains, the castle, and the surrounding vistas. Their love illuminated the Adirondacks, setting the stage for an extraordinary wedding celebration.
The staff at the Inn at Erlowest orchestrated a magnificent setting for the lakeside ceremony, with nature in all its splendor providing a breathtaking backdrop.
The brief yet heartfelt ceremony unfolded against the backdrop of the water, cliffs, boats, and majestic mountains, portraying a seamless union of two souls in a captivating setting.
As the evening progressed into cocktail hour, the joyous celebrations commenced. Amidst the changing hues of the sunset, we seamlessly mingled with the guests, capturing their heartfelt moments and documenting the warm reunions of family and friends who had traveled from afar, adding to the tapestry of memories.
The reception was a lively affair, filled with traditional music and dances, capturing the essence of the couple’s Ukrainian heritage.
Following the delightful dinner, we ventured into the night with our lights, creating enchanting portraits of the newlyweds amidst the captivating backdrop of the castle, with Earda and Kevin casting a spell on the Inn at Erlowest, from day into the night.
